Buccaneers Unrestricted Free Agents
These are the following Bucs players that will be resigned:
DT Ndamukong Suh – 1 year $9 Mil
Their was a reason why the Tampa Bay Buccaneers had the number one rushing defense in the NFL In 2019 despite the 7-9 record and that reason is Suh on the defensive line along side Vita Vea. These two lit up opposing teams RB’s which if the Bucs want to continue Suh is a top priority for this defense.
Edge Shaquil Barrett – 3 years $15 Mil
All Time Tampa Bay Sack Leader… enough said.. 19.5 sacks! There is a reason why Shaq Barrett was able to get this many sacks and one of those reason’s was because of the play of the Defensive Line getting just enough pressure to let Barrett get to the QB.
Edge Jason Pierre-Paul – 2 year $10 Mil
Tho Jason Pierre-Paul didn’t get a full season under his belt in 2019 due to a offseason injury with a car accident before the season started the fact that JPP played in 2019 was a miracle within itself. In the games JPP did play he played another big role as to way Shaq Barrett broke the Sack Record.
Pierre-Paul is the leader of this defense, he’s been around a few years now and he can help groom these players before his retirement to help build the next great Buccaneers defense.
WR Breshad Perriman – 2 year $ 3.5 Mil
Everyone and we mean Everyone, wanted Perriman cut for that extra compensation 4th round pick, but Head Coach Bruce Arians daw things we didn’t.
With Mike Evans & Chris Godwin being hit with the Hamstring injuries with just 3 games left, the Buccaneers needed someone to step up.
Perriman became the #1 WR the rest of the remaining games and showed why he deserved to remain on the team and could be brought back for the teams third WR depth chart spot.
OLB Carl Nassib 2 year $3 Mil
Since the Buccaneers moved to a 3-4 base defense Nassib has seemed to grow and play at a position that fits to his strengths and he has proven that he should be brought back to help Barrett, Pierre-Paul, David & White in the LB core.
All other Unrestricted free agents have been released.
