2020 NFL Draft
Rd1 Pick14: QB Jacob Eason Washington
Eason feels like a good pick for the Bucs moving forward as well as a perfect fit for the kind of offense that Bruce Arians likes to run. Has the arm and strength, good pocket passer with accuracy. Eason finished his career with 5,564 passing yards 39 touchdowns and 16 interceptions.
Rd2 Pick45: RB J.K. Dobbins OSU
With the second pick I took the Best Player overall on the board in Ohio State’s J.K. Dobbins along side Ronald Jones II & Derrick Henry this will be a trio of unstoppable within the Buccaneers backfield. With Henry signing for a short deal and still unsure for the most part how Jones will fit in the backfield this kinda was a no brained as the top RB to some in this Draft and could be the Bucs feature back in years to come.
Rd3 Pick76: OL Jack Driscoll Auburn
Once again we picked up Auburn’s OL Driscoll in the third round to help this OLine with depth. You can find the original report in TBKrewe’s Mock Draft 1.0 here.
Rd4 Pick107: OL Cole Van Lanen Wisconsin
In the fourth we add an additional Offensive Lineman to give our new QB & Running backs to extra help. Felt like Van Lanen would be a great choice here as well as the best overall pick at this time with who was on the board. Bucs GM Jason Licht should hope that Driscoll & Van Lanen are on the board this late in the draft.
Rd5 Pick143: S Julian Blackmon Utah
Buccaneers looking to beef up the third level of the defense and help improve the passing defense. Blackmon would seem to be a good late round pick at this position for his talents.
Blackmon has the hands and speed along with the experience as a cornerback, great with coverages and can tackle well, has great ball skills as well as competitors toughness. Would be a great pick for the Bucs
Rd6 Pick174: WR Van Jefferson Florida
As the Bucs found out WR will be an issue as they’ve lost Mike Evans and Chris Godwin both Pro Bowlers in 2019. WR’s are a need despite having a great Duo. Florida’s Van Jefferson would make for a great #3 or 4 WR in this Bruce Arians offense. Great hands, able to break off the corners, has the speed and acceleration to break off the line. He would be what Adam Humphries was for the Bucs he would be a steal if he fell this low in the draft.
