Rays Glasnow agrees to Arbitration

On Friday, The Tampa Bay Rays & Pitcher Tyler Glasnow have agreed to terms before the deadline at 1pm eastern for arbitration with a settlement of $2.05 Million per source from MLB.com’s Mark Feinsand.

Glasnow despite injuries in 2019 had 12 starts with a 1.78 ERA and is expected to become one of the top 3 pitchers moving forward this season with Blake Snell and Charlie Morton.

The Rays began the offseason with nine arbitration-eligible players, but with Tommy Pham, Matt Duffy, Jesús Aguilar and Guillermo Heredia now off the team, Mike Zunino re-signing on a one-year deal, and Chaz Roe settling at $2,185,200 (per Feinsand), Tampa Bay turned its attention to Glasnow and these players: Hunter Renfroe, Oliver Drake and Daniel Robertson.

The Rays will try to agree to terms before each deadline to reach a deal with these players with spring training just around the corner.
